Bio:
Dr. Frederic Joyce, a founding member of Rejuvenate! Med Spa, is Board Certified by the Danish Board of Thoracic Surgery and is an Associate of the American College of Cosmetic Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Cosmetic Surgery, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the Oneida County Medical Society.
Dr. Joyce began his education at the University of Rochester, receiving a BA in Psychology. He then lived in Denmark, where he attended medical school and trained in general surgery. Fulfilling a lifelong dream of becoming a heart surgeon, he trained in that specialty at the world leader in the field, the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and later in Copenhagen at the Royal Hospital. Dr. Joyce has been involved with the Mohawk Valley Heart Institute since its inception 11 years ago. Over the last several years, Dr. Joyce has expanded his surgical expertise to include cosmetic surgery, and eventually helped found Rejuvenate! Med Spa. He continues to practice cardiac and cosmetic surgery and is working to provide the benefits of Rejuvneate! to cities nationwide.
A long-time entrepreneur, Dr. Joyce started a natural ice cream café and production facility in Denmark called Underground Ice Cream, which ultimately spread across the country, and exists to this day. He is also a strong advocate for protection of the environment, and has been selected by The Climate Project to disseminate information about global climate change. The Mohawk Valley has been his home since 1998, and he currently resides in New Hartford, New York with his wife and two children.
